Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy for Donley Auctions 

 

Introduction: This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions for shipping items purchased from Donley Auctions. Please note that Donley Auctions reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website.

  • PAYMENT

    • When your invoice is paid in full, it will be passed to our Shipping Department.

    • Cost for shipping is a separate transaction and will NOT be included in the original invoice.  

    • Shipping costs are calculated based on factors such as item size, weight, destination, insurance value, and chosen shipping method.

    • We do not have access to your payment information through any online platforms.  

    • Our Shipping Department aims to pack and process shipments within 2-4 weeks of payment receipt. However, during peak periods or for auctions with a high volume of items, this timeframe may be extended. We appreciate your patience and will keep you informed of any significant delays.

    • You will receive a text/email from us through our shipping software, "Shipping Saint," with shipping cost details and a link for payment.   Once your item has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email/text with tracking information. Firearm purchases will not receive tracking information.

  • FIREARM & AMMUNITION SHIPPING

    • FFL Requirement: WITHIN 2 DAYS OF AUCTION - A signed FFL License from your preferred local dealer MUST be provided, regardless of the firearm's age.  

    • The FFL can be emailed to Shipping@DonleyAuctions.com. Please include the customer’s full name in all emails.  

    • California Residents: Must also provide an FFL for ammunition purchases.  

    • Shipping Restrictions:

      • We cannot ship ammunition to Alaska or Hawaii.  

      • We cannot ship primers or any form of black powder.  

    • International Buyers: Are required to provide an FFL for an FFL dealer in the USA who will handle the export process.

  • ITEM PICK-UP

    • If you decide to decline shipping and pick up your items, please notify us within 24 hours. Otherwise, you may be charged for packing.  

    • Contact us at Shipping@DonleyAuctions.com or 815-923-7000 to schedule a pick-up appointment. All pick-ups are by appointment only.  

    • We will work with you to arrange a convenient pick-up time.

  • STORAGE FEES

    • Due to limited space, items must be picked up within 5 days of the auction.  

    • Items left for over 5 days will incur a storage fee of $20 per day, unless prior arrangements have been made.  

    • Items left after 30 days will be considered abandoned and may be sold to recover expenses.

  • U.S. SHIPPING OF STANDARD-SIZED ITEMS

    • We will carefully, efficiently, and economically pack small to medium-sized items for shipping within the U.S.  

    • You will receive an invoice from us via text/email through Shipping Saint with shipping and handling costs, which can be paid directly through a link in the message.  

    • Domestic shipments typically arrive within 5-7 business days after shipping.

  • U.S. SHIPPING OF OVERSIZED ITEMS

    • We do not pack or ship large or oversized items, and we do not ship items over 100 lbs.  

    • Upon request, we will provide a list of recommended transporters and/or crating companies.  

    • The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the transportation of oversized items.

  1. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

    • For international shipments, if your invoice total is over $2,499, we cannot ship via USPS or FedEx.  

    • Items exceeding this value must be shipped through an international shipping broker. We can provide recommendations upon request.  

    • The buyer is solely responsible for arranging international shipping.  

    • International buyers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and fees associated with importing the items. Please be aware of your country's import regulations before bidding.

  1. DISCLAIMER

    • Donley Auctions is not responsible for any delays, damage, or losses caused by third-party shipping carriers. Our responsibility ends when the item is transferred to the shipping carrier.
