The Holy Grail of potato chip cans. Mrs. Japp's was one of the most famous potato chip brands in Chicago and the suburbs. At the outbreak of WWII when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the Japp family, from Chicago, was forced to change the name of their brand to Jay's Potato Chips. Most of the Mrs. Japp's tins were scrapped for the war effort making them one of the hardest tins to find. This lot contained both a Mrs. Japp's tin and a Jay's tin. Both were in good condition but the Mrs. Japp's tin had a rusty lid. Each one is a 1 pound tin and measures 11" tall, 7.5" in diameter.
